Salomon Finsi was a son of Mozes Finsi and Aaltje Dresden. He married 27 October 1909 in Amsterdam to Mietje Finsi, daughter of Aron Finsi and Sara Furth. The couple had ten children together of whom one son has died in childhood, One daughter survived the Holocaust and the other children who lost their lives were Alida, Serline and the with their parents living Maurice, Arnold, Marie, Lena, Maria and Roza.
