‘For the Jewish De Levie family, 21 July 1937 was a joyful day. It was then that their daughter Bertha left her parents’ home in Brugstraat to marry Viktor Metzelaar of Amsterdam.’
Bertha was the daughter of the De Levie family of butchers, and lived in her parents’ home at Brugstraat 15 in Ommen until her marriage.
