Samuel de Hoop was married to Marianna de Hoop-Blazer. They had two children. Daughter Elisabeth de Hoop perished in Auschwitz along with her mother. Another child survived the war. During the war Samuel was hiding, using the alias of Hanegraaf. He was captured without wearing the David star and subsequently deported.
