Adelina van Straten was a daughter of Hartog van Straten and Judith Hartog. She had six other brothers and sisters, among them Elizabeth and Johanna. Adelina married in Rotterdam on 21 June 1899 to Simon Hartog Kalker, son of Nathan Kalker and Eva Walg. Simon Hartog Kalker however passed away alredy in Jul 1934. The couple had three children: Henriette, Eva Sara and Reina, who survived the Holocaust.
