About Hans Polak

Hans Polak attended Delft Engineering School. He was married. He and his wife had a child and lived in The Hague.
Hans Polak was active in the underground for the Communistische Partij Nederland (CPN), especially regarding the underground paper De Waarheid. On 24 April 1944 he was caught in The Hague. He was sent from the prison in Scheveningen to the concentration camps at Vught, Westerbork and Auschwitz and eventually reached Dachau, where he was killed at age 28. His wife survived the war.
