Louis van Hogezand was a chef on the Holland-Amerika line. He married Johanna Paulina Breemer on May 25, 1906 in Paris. Three children were born from this marriage: Henri, Odetta and Regina Adèle. Johanna died in Rotterdam in 1922. Louis got remarried to Keetje Presburg on December 10, 1924.
