Bajla Szwajcer-Ferens came to the Netherlands from Jaffa on 17 October 1927. On 29 February 1928 she was married in Rotterdam to Jakob Szwajcer, who has survived the Holocaust. Bajla and her husband belonged to the Nederlands-Israëlitisch Kerkgenootschap (Dutch-Jewish congregation). They lived in Rotterdam until their evacuation to Gouda in September 1940. Bajla Ferens was taken away on 31 October 1942, possibly from the assembly point Loods 24 in Rotterdam.
