Sara Gosschalk was married to Jakob de Lange. They both still lived with their parents. The couple had one child, Maurits, also known as Menachem.
Sara Gosschalk en Jakob de Lange wrote farewell letters from the transit camp Westerbork. The letters were published in the Auschwitz Bulletin 49 nr 1, January 2005.
