Aron Salomons owned a wholesale business that sold clogs. He had taken the business over from his mother and expanded it to include shoes, rubber boots and carpeting. The shop was on the Wilhelminastraat. Aron Salomons was the chairman of the 'Weldoen is ons Streven' drama society and president of Winschoten's Jewish community until he was deported.
