Isaäc Caransa was a son of Jacob Caransa and Femmina Wijnberg. He married Anna Kloot in 1897 in Amsterdam. She died in 1932. They had nine children. Four of them, Jacob, Femmina, Sophia and Samson Jacob, died before the war. The other children were Rachel, Sara, Abigaël, Mozes Haim and Markus. Isaäc Caransa married Betje Peperwortel in 1938.
