About Margaretha de Wolff

Margaretha de Wolff from Middelburg, was a daughter of Abraham de Wolff and Trijntje Frank. She wsa born into a very large family with in total fourteen children. Four of them have died in childhood but nine other siblings of Margaretha, namely David, Clara, Esther, Arie, Jeannette, Daniel, Samuel, Hendrik and Rebekka werd killed in the Shoah, just as Margaretha her self. She was never married.

As a young girl of nearly 16 years old, she came on 15 July 1908 from Middelburg living in with the family of her cousin Vrouwtje van der Borg in Rotterdam, who was married to Jankel Chasler and resided at Walenburgerweg 104a. (Margaretha's mother Trijntje Frank was a sister of Vrouwtje van der Borg's mother Grietje Frank). She stayed there till she moved on 11 October 1940 to Navanderstraat 7 in Rotterdam. From there she was sent to Camp Westerbork on 22 April 1943 where she stayed in barack 55. On 18 May she was deported to Sobibor where she arrived three days later and was killed immediately there on 21 May 1943.
