About Jacob Zwarts

Jacob Zwarts took the required exam to become a religious education teacher. He carried out the function of cantor and shochet in a a few small Jewish communities. He worked his way up and followed a university course. In 1935, he completed his studies with a doctoral degree under Professor Palache on the thesis 'The seven-armed candelabra in the Roman diaspora'.

Jacob Zwarts studied arts and philosophy in Utrecht from 1930.
