Hartog Trijtel was the son of Philip Trijtel and Judith Verdooner. In 1941 he lived with his sister Margaretha Trijtel. He married Rosa Springer, who still lived with her parents. The couple possibly moved to a different address.

Hartog Trijtel was a diamond cutter. From Vught, he had been put to work in camp Moerdijk. He asked for permission to accompany his wife, Rosa Springer, should she be deported from Vught to Westerbork.
