Samuel IJzerkoper was a son of Jacob IJzerkoper and Saartje Pront. He married in Amsterdam on 28 June 1906 to Dina Walvis, daughter of Levie Walvis and Judik Cohen de Korte. Their daughter Sara was married to Maurits Blits.
