Caroline Josine Moerel was the daughter of Salomon Maurits Moerel. Clara Visser was her second mother. Two other children from the family survived the war. Her parents lived at 85 Tuinstraat, where Salomon Maurits Moerel had his GP practice.
Caroline Josine Moerel went into hiding as a 'patient' at the Apeldoornse Bos, with the knowledge of the physicians. She was deported with the other patients on 21 January 1943.
