Heinz Rafael Silberberg, a son of Ludwig Silberberg and Emma Ilse Plaut was a son-in-law of Salomon Hoogstraal and Carolina Bernard. On 14 April 1942 he married the youngest daughter of Salomon and Carolina Hoogstraal; his wife has survived the Holocaust; he has been killed in Mauthausen.
