About Bernard Cohen

Bernard Cohen was involved in the resistance. His name appears on the NIOD honour roll.

Bernard Cohen was arrested in the train going from Rotterdam to Amsterdam in late March or April 1944. Hij had fake identitycards and foodstamps on him to be dilivered to other people who had went into hiding. Because of his illegal activities, Bernard Cohen was detained in Westerbork in the penalty block. Shortly afterwards he was deported to Auschwitz.
