Betje Koekkoek-van Gelder was the widow of Philippus Koekkoek, who died in 1930. The couple had eight children: Lazarus, Levie, Barend, Martha, Rika, Helena and two children that survived the war.
In 1941 Betje Koekkoek-van Gelder lived with the family of her daughter Rika.
