About Rozette van Coevorden-Driels

Rozette Driels was a daughter of Hartog Driels and Friederike Pels. 30 August 1886 she married at Emden (Germany) to Abraham van Coevorden, a merchant from Groningen and 33 years of age. He was a son of Natan Joël van Coevorden and Duifje Koekkoek. This marriage was registered 7 January 1887 in the Civil Registry of Groningen. Dit huwelijk werd 7 Januari 1887 ingeschreven in het Bevolkingsregister van Groningen. He passed away in 1926. The couple had five children: Nathan, Herman, Bertha (died in 1929) and two children that survived the war.

Rozette Driels was born into a large family; her parents had 12 children in total. One of those was her brother Nathan Driels; he became the father of Frieda Driels, who married Eliazar Drielsma in 1914. Another brother was Mozes Driels, married to Jettchen/Jenny Wohl. Mozes Driels became the father of Marianne Driels who was married to Moses Leon Hirschtick and since 1938 her second-niece Else Driels lived in Amsterdam, a daughter of Moritz Driels and granddaughter of her brother Nathan Driels.

Rozette passed away in Amsterdam 1 March 1942 and was interred 3 March 1942 in the Jewish Cemetery of Muiderberg.
