About Salomon Broekhuijsen

Solomon Denneboom was the illegitimate son of a woman who still lived with her parents in Emmen and who survived the war. The first years of his life he lived with a family in Aalten. In 1938 he was brought to Amsterdam. there he was adopted by the Broekhuijsen family. He was given the surname of his foster parents.

Salomon Broekhuijsen was deported to Sobibor in June 1943 from Vught via Westerbork on the so-called children's transport. He was 8 when he died.
