About Loewie Vleeschdrager

Loewie Vleeschdrager was a son of Lion Vleeschdrager and Clara Vogel. He married Rosette Hoornman in 1898 in Amsterdam. She passed away. They had three children. In 1934 Loewie Vleeschdrager remarried.

Loewie Vleeschdrager arrived in Amsterdam from London at age 2. He performed under the stage name Louis Contran. While he initially appeared in amateur theatre productions, he made his professional debut in September 1895. He often performed as a comedian and wrote songs, sketches and revues. On 25 December 1920 he celebrated his silver jubilee at the Hollandsche Schouwburg.
