About Judith Englander-Biet

Judith Biet was a daughter of Coenraad Biet and Fijtje de Hond, (already passed in 1917). She married 27 March 1921 in Amsterdam Samuel Henri Englander, a son of Nathan Englander and Lea Rimini. The couple had three children.

Judith Biet was born into a family of nine children. Three of them have died at a young age. She self, and her other siblings, Johanna, Sara, Henrica, Mozes and Aaron have been killed during the Shoah.

This person is commemorated on the monument Schaduwkade in Amsterdam. The names of the 200 jewish inhabitants of the Nieuwe Keizersgracht are placed on the canal wall opposite the houses where they once lived.
