Asser Swaap married Catharina Beesemer on 16 March 1898. She was born on 21 January 1876. She died on 24 March 1919. Asser Swaap remarried with Catharina Bont on 23 June 1920.
Asser had eight children. He and Catharina Bont had two children, Aron and Rosa. Rebekka Swaap, Rachel Swaap, Meijer Swaap and Simon Swaap were among the children of his first marriage.
