About Dina Leger-Zak

Dina Zak was a daughter of Hartog Zak and Esther de Jong. She married 10 August 1923 in Amsterdam to Emanuel Leger, a son of Mozes Leger and Jetje Engers. The family moved to Antwerp, where they have resided at various addresses, the last known address was Plantijnlei 124 in Antwerp.
Dina and Emanuel had two children: Henriette Dina and a daughter, of whom - just as about her father Emanuel Leger - nothing further is known.
Dina Zak had another sister Judith and a brother Abraham, who also have been killed during the Holocaust.

The parents of Emanuel Leger had in total nine children: Emanuel self; two sons and one daughter survived the war and one son left in 1927 for New York but four other children, Isaac, Elisabeth, Meijer and Salomon did not survive the Holocaust.

Dina Zak was deported together with her children from Mechelen to Auschwitz.
