Branca zak was a daughter of Machiel Zak and Judith Olivier. She married 5 November 1902 in Amsterdam Hijman de Vries, a son of Abraham de Vries and Rebecca de la Bella. The couple had six children, of whom two children have died as babies; the other four children have been killed during the Holocaust.
Branca was born in a family with twelve children. Two of them have died in childhood. The other children have all been killed during the Holocaust.
