Herni Fuldauer was the son of Henri Fuldauer (sr.). His mother survived the war. Henri jr. was educated as an pastry chef. For his education he moved to Assen, and later worked for Woudstra in Enschede. There he married Bruintje Urbach. The couple had four children who all survived the war.
