Meijer Segal was a son of Isaac Segal and Sipora Fransman. He married 8 May 1912 to Esther de Magtige, a daughter of Joseph de Magtige and Saartje de Klijn. His wife Esther however, passed away on 26 February 1920, and Meijer Segal remarried 7 September 1921 in Amsterdam to Anna Scholte, a daughter of Barend Scholte and Grietje Borstel.
From the first marriage of Meijer and Esther de Magtige, three children have been born; ons eon died only 9 monts old; the two other children, Isaac and Abraham have been killed too during the Shoah.
From Meijer's second marriage, seven children have been born again.
