About Louisa van der Maas-Andriesse

Louisa Andriesse was a daughter of Emanuel Andriesse and Mietje Wallig. She married Michiel van der Maas on 13 Februari 1889 in Rotterdam, a son of Abraham van der Maas and Rachel Drukken. The couple had five children, of whom Leentje and Abraham died in childhood, only a few months old. Her daughter Mietje passed away at age 45 on 1 July 1936 in Rotterdam but her children Rosetta and Eva, just as she self too, were killed in the Shoah. Her husband Michiel van der Maas passed in Rotterdam on 29 Mei 1924.

After the passing of her husband, Louisa stayed in Rotterdam but moved per 13 August 1940 to the address Noordsingel 30 b. As written down on her registration card of the Jewish Council, her address was according information from the Peoples Registry of Rotterdam then Noordplein 52 b in Rotterdam. On this address Louisa might have resided from October 1941 until she was sent to Camp Westerbork, where she arrived between 3 and 5 October 1942. Louisa stayed there till she has been deported to Auschwitz on 16 October were she has been killed immediately upon arrival there on 19 October 1942.
