Jacobus Coezijn was a son of Philip Coezijn and Vrouwtje Poppegaai. He married 26 August 1914 to Mietje Mok, daughter of Maurits Mok and Saartje Lierens. The couple had eightteen children together, of whom only Vrouwtje and Jozef have survived the Holocaust. Philip and Sara were married, lived at other adddresses and did not survive the war, just as all their other thirteen siblings, who were still living with their parents. Daughter Esther passed away already as a babygirl of 6 monts old
Other than he himself, six other siblings did not survive the Holocaust too: Rosette, Sara, Hijman, Eva, Gerrit and Judith.
