Branca Wurms was a daughter of Abraham Wurms and Femmetje Verdoner. She married in Amsterdam on 30 November 1904 to Philip Wurms, son of Joseph Wurms and Naatje Presser.
Her siblings were Juda, Barend, Mozes, Meijer and Hartog. Her twinbrothers Joseph and Hijman have died as babies and also her brother Philip passed away before the war.
