Margaretha Brilleslijper was a daughter of Joseph Brilleslijper and Vrouwtje van Geens. She married 26 August 1936 to Jacob Emmerik, son of Isaac Emmerik and Saartje Cohen.
She had another sister Rebekka, a brother Machiel and a half-brother Hartog from the 2nd marriage of her father.
