The police commissioner in charge of the juvenile police in Amsterdam requested that the minor Joseph van Embden, born on 13 August 1925 in Amsterdam and residing at 98 Retiefstraat, fourth floor, in Amsterdam and missing since 17 July1 942, be located. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. Identifying characteristics: about 5'3" tall, normal build; wearing a brown jacket, striped long trousers, a white shirt, low black shoes; bareheaded.
