Marie Jean Boas was the son of Simon Boas and Mietje Katan. he was first married to Jetta Spetter. The couple had two children: Simon Meijer and Meijer Simon. After they were divorced in April 1936, Marie Jean Boas got married to Grete Sommer, the daughter of Ludwig Sommer and Rosalie Weil. They had another child: Irene Sonja.
