Hermann Michelson was merchant and married to Emilie Bender. The couple moved in 1938 from St. Tönis (Ort bei Krefeld) to Rheydt and lived there at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Straße 21/25. In 1939 they moved to The Hague.
