About Elly Julia Heller-Friedmann

Elly Julia Heller-Friedmann was the widow of Dr. Arnold Heller, the editor of the journal of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure and the author of the first textbook on automobile construction, Motorwagenbau. Elly and Arnold had three sons: Rudi, who died as a child, and twin sons, Gerhard and another child.
Elly left Germany in 1935 and lived for some time in Eindhoven, where Gerhard was working with Philips, and for some time at the Stadionkade 42 in Amsterdam.
Her other child was able to move to England.
