Josephine Engelsman, a daughter of Joseph Engelsman and Rebecca Engelsman, married in Amsterdam on 20 July `1932 to Nathan Baruch, a son of Abraham Baruch and Betje van Gelder.
Josephine Engelsman was born in a family with in total nine children, of whom five children died in childhood, one son has survived the war and three children have been killed during the Holocaust, among them she self and Grietje. She had also a brother Hijman, married to Aaltje Buijtekant, who passed away already in 1924.
