Levie Fles was a son of Hijman Fles and Rika Fles. He married Heintje Sacksioni in Amsterdam on 9 January 1924, a daughter of Gerson Hartog Sacksioni and Sophia Doof.
The couple had one son Gerson, who, with his wife and two daughters has survived the Holocaust.
Levie came from a family with 12 children, of whom three children have died already at young age. His other siblings were Isaac, Emanuel, Lea, Gracia, Sara, Benjamin, Jacob and Elisabeth.
