About Jacob Kloot

Jacob Kloot was married. He and his wife had no children. They lived in Amsterdam. He was an artist, publisher and owner of Corunda on the Keizersgracht. Jacob Kloot helped people in hiding and arranged meeting venues for underground workers, in part by renting apartments. He operated under the alias El Pintor. On 30 May 1943 Jacob Kloot was arrested in Leiden and deported to Sobibor via the convict prison at Scheveningen and Westerbork.
