Abraham Hartog Tammerijn was a son of Hartog Tammerijn and Johanna van de Kruk.
Abraham married Leentje Koppel on September 6, 1893 in Rotterdam. The couple had nine children: Heiman (who died at a young age), Johanna, Herri, Heiman, Salomon, Elisabeth, Jonas and two children who survived the war. In the early 1940s Leentje Koppel and Abraham Hartog Tammerijn lived apart from each other.
