Emanuel Mok was a son of Jacob Mok and Rebekka Koopman. He married Sophia Kokernoot on 31 August 1904 in Amsterdam, a daughter of Abraham Kokernoot and Naatje Reens. The couple had nine children together, of whom a baby daughter died only one week old in 1904; four daughther have survived the Holocaust but not Johnanna, Jacob, Branca and Abraham.
