Perla Deutscher was a daughter of Avraham Moshe and Jente Deutscher, who also were murdered during the war. She had two brothers and two sisters.

In 1933 Perla Deutscher came from Dortmund to the Netherlands. She lived in Amsterdam on several addresses. From November 1938 she lived on Courbetstraat 33 and from April 1939 on Biesboschstraat 38.
