Salomon Sajet was a son of Levie Sajet and Mijntje Schellevis. He married 2 November 1916 in Amsterdam to Sara van de Kar, a daughter of David van de Kar and Heintje Schraal.
The couple had in 1919 one son: Levie.
Salomon was born in a family with ten children, of whom, besides himself, also four of his siblings, Abraham, Rachel, Hanna and Eliazer have been killed during the Holocaust.
