Mietje Canes was a daughter of Joseph Canes and Klaartje Viskoper. She married 29 April 1908 in Amsterdam to Benjamin Nebbig, a son of Mozes Nebbig and Judic Zwaab.
Mietje Canes had nine siblings, of whom three little brothers have died at a very young age. The others, like she self, Rebecca, Mozes, Jansje, Jesaija, Heintje and Betsij, have been killed during the Holocaust.
