Herman Reindorp was a son of Benedictus Reindorp and Betje Frank. This was a family with seven children, of whom four did not survive the Holocaust: Herman himself, Bertha, Susan Samson and Jetje.
Herman married in Amsterdam on 16 November 1911 to Mietje Jacobs, daughter of David Jacobs and Klaartje Snoek.
The couple had three children together: Elisabeth, Klara who died in childhood and Benedictus.
