About Sally Vromen

Sally Vromen was the son of Louis Vromen, animal skins merchant, and of Bertha Vromen-Monnikendam. He was a reporter. He lived at the Weesperzijde 22 in Amsterdam. He was divorced from Anny Mittler. On 3 February 1943, Sally Vromen died in Vught concentration camp.

Sally Vromen was homosexual. He married Anny Mitler, a Viennese woman, in 1938 in Amsterdam to keep her out of the clutches of the Germans, and so that she could obtain a residence permit.
