Mozes Tertaas was a son of Gidion Tertaas and Heintje Piller. Since 17 February 1938 he resided with his parents at Thaliastraat 91 in Berchem (Belgium) but since 18 September 1939, he lived in as grandson with his grandparents Hartog Piller and Bertha Piller-Wertheijm at Muiderstraat 9 downfloor in Amsterdam.
