Klara van der Sluis was a daughter of Joseph van der Sluis and Esther Spaanbroek. Her siblings were Simon and Elisabeth, (who have survived the Holocaust), Gerrit, Ephraim, Jaantje, Sientje, Isak, Leentje, Benjamin and Marcus.
