Gitla Limkowski, daughter of Mozes Limkowski and Sophia (Sprince) Ferber, was married to Alfred Schostal from Brünn (Brno). They lived in Vienna, were her husband was killed on 30 March 1938 and as victim of the Holocaust was registered by Yad Vashem.
On 9 January 1939, Gitla came to Amsterdam as a widow, where she lived with her brother Jacob’s family at Warmoestraat 180. Her last address in Amsterdam was Grensstraat 25 downfloor.
Gitla’ss parents were married in Amsterdam, both 44 years of age , on 28 August 1895 and they had a family of seven children: Jacob, Helene, Hendel, Sophie (lives in Vienna), Adolf (left for- and married in Engeland) and Emanuel (deceased in Antwerp 1937).
