About Zadok van den Bergh

Zadok van den Bergh was a son of Simon van den Bergh, the owner of a margarine factory, and Elisabeth van der Wielen. He studied law in Amsterdam and gained promotion there in 1885. In the same year he married Carolina Wolf with whom he got two children. After a divorce in 1921 Zadok van den Bergh married again. From 1907 till 1910 he was alderman in Amsterdam for the Liberal Democratic Alliance. Short after the German invasion in May 1940 Zadok van den Bergh fled to France, where he died.
