David Gomes de Mesquita was the son of Josua Gomes de Mesquita and Judith Wurms.

David Gomes de Mesquita was married. He and his wife had one child. The family lived in Amsterdam. David Gomes de Mesquita was a diamond polisher. He was involved in the resistance with the Dutch communist party (CPN). On 12 February 1943 he was caught in Rotterdam and deported to Sobibor via the Haagsche Veer police precinct and Westerbork. David Gomes de Mesquita's wife survived the war.
